Carrier Oil Filters

I have recently purchased with a friend a March 1944 Canadian Mk11* Carrier.

From past experience I was expecting to find it fitted with a Oil Filter which it is not. Can any one confirm when these were introduced on Canadian production, or has mine been removed.

British production I am assuming from manuals were never fitted with oli filters?

Dirk if you are reading this I obviously no longer need the oil filters, but I still need the other items.
