Default In the background

Just came across this pic with a 15 cwt CMP in the background (missing a mudguard) and wondered what similar pics you people may have come across where the CMP was incidental to the photograph.

"Sharpend" the dog.

Default Sure do!

Nice images. I like the one where they've taken the V8 out to show how superior it is.

And in that pic with the Ford V8 on the ground (Les's 1st pic), Wot Jamaica the vehicle behind that? Does the windscreen appear vertical to you? Do the door windows appear to be of an unusual pattern? Is it a CMP... (Bedford, innit?)?

Default Fordson?

Which pic?

One of the earlier pics (and a good example of in the background) is this one:

Note the Chevrolet panel van, looks like a 6 seat utility.

I was eyeing up that Chev as well and was not sure if it was a 6 seat utility or one of the elusive Chev. Recon wagons like my model below.

Cliff, here is one of your photos I copied years ago. Is this the one you used to build your model?

Yup, Bedford MW, but without bonnet.
They must be playing "put a Ford V8 on the ground and put a Bedford 6-inline next to it, and tell me which one is superior".

The Bedford without a doubt, is more superior. If I recall, Fords did not produce the old flathead after the mid 50's, but the Bedford was still there up until the 70's, in improved form (214 ci).

This should start a discussion !!

Yes there it is poking its nose out from the left corner, interesting array of vehicles incuding a Dodge D15 Bedford Qls , Jeep, Bedford 15cwt and a Dodge three quater ton now would that be one of Canadian manufacture

Does it ever! What an interesting shot, the Butcherbird is almost more interesting than the CMP!

Well found, Mark.

Looks like one D15 with the tilt off, and one with it on.

Note that the furthest one has a had cab with a passengers side rectangular hatch - much more likely to be a RHD D15 than any other Dodge methinks.

Les- Your first picture really caught my eye the picture of Ford in its native environment in the repair yard with engine on the ground.

Now I’ll dig a deep deep foxhole and hide.

Maybe but no fairleads and 16" wheels could point to a cut down Wireless Sigs van.

Check out the paint job on the C15a in the picture with the Fw190. Really nice foliage pattern in accordance with MTP 46. Goes to show that the order of no repainting until needed was followed.
