Default Roos

I know you've all heard about the myths of Kangaroos in the main streets in Australia, but here I am in Eltham about 20 km from the city centre and I took this picture about 10 minutes ago about 1 km from my place...

Breakfast, Morning Tea, Lunch, Afternoon tea, Supper.... and so on...

Kangaroo is good for you - lean meat. Just baste with Vegemite.

These are Eastern Grey Kangaroos. Once I saw one in our yard but they rarely venture this far.
We also have Echidnas, Wombats, lots of extremely venomous snakes in Summer, and a large number of feral animals like Foxes and Rabbits. Happily not a squirrel or skunk in sight!

Geez Keefy, where's Steve when you need him!!Roo burgers on the hoof!!At least they're not wearing boxing gloves??Peanut butter /vegemite washed down with a good Auzzie beer, that'll control them,or maybe that's why they're headed to your home.

Default they're not roos...

they are wallabies just back from kicking pommie butts. Lost the football too.
Oh well, the cricket season starts soon maybe they could win that. Hah!

Some bright spark at CALM thought it would be good to put some roos on Herrison Island in the centre of Perth just to live up to the myth.

Default Canadian Moose!!

Maybe we should send you fellows some of our moose. In winter, down east in Newfoundland, they have a habit of coming out on highways at night to lick the salt used to melt the snow & ice thereby causing a lot of cars becoming blunt nosed..With their large antlers, they could probably hold six roos from each antler,at the same time ,slowing down speeders on your highways.Moose steaks are also said to be delicious.Moose & roo burgers to take out sir?Plus a little shrimp on the barbi??

Default Is this a Webb family gathering?

No, this is the oldcmpsite blitz locating team. You will note that they're all looking in different directions. Keith sends these Roos out in all directions with cameras in their pouches to find elusive trucks. Farmers and wrecking yard owners will use a shotgun to chase off drooling enthusiasts, but don't look twice at a mob of Kangaroos. Anyone who remembers the '60s TV show Skippy will know how Keith has trained his team.
Keith: "What's that , Skip? You've found a C60X dumped in the bush?"
Kangaroo: "Tsk, tsk tut, tut."
Keith: "Really, Skip! It still has it's original refuelller body? Thanks, Skip!"

But that's saltbush country, which means South Australia. Perhaps Salesman Bob can elucidate for us - I think that may be one of his countrymen.

Default Saltbush Country

Hi Keefy
Yes it has to be good old S of A. If it was New Zealand the rider would be wearing Wellingto Boots and you wouldn't see the animal's hind legs. Up in the Mid-North of SA they have created quite a large boutique market for saltbush fed mutton. Supposed to be good and obviously priced accordingly. Must be some of my salesman relatives.
Bob
