Universal Tires, Coker Tires, Wallace Wade and others in the US sell modern production tires similar to those originally used for the GPW. They are available in 4 or 6 ply branded as STA (Specialty Tires of America (previously McCreary rubber) who may make the following tires as well) Firestone or Ford.
I'm sure some of these would sell to Canada but you may also want to look into having them shipped to your nearest cross-border UPS store to be held for pickup. When I brought in some tires for my CMP there was no problem at the border, Customs wanted to be sure they were for personal use (not resale) and payment of PST and GST. |

Here's a current ebay listing http://cgi.ebay.ca/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...E:B:SS:CA:1123
I have never dealt with this seller so I can't comment on them. Also, you probably need to ask them when the tires were made as there's a huge difference in safety between new (never installed on a wheel but made in 1945) and new (made yesterday in a DOT certified plant). They don't seem to ship to Canada, but there's no harm in asking. |

Tires
It is always best to mention where you live because of shipping costs affect where you want to make your purchase. Here in Ontario "Denman" brand (made in USA) 6:00x16 non-directional military tires are readily available from myself and a couple of other military parts suppliers for just over $100 each. PM me for an exact quote including postage to your area.
