Don't do it, Geoff! It's a left-handed salute.

But Frank....the 'Little Saluting Icon' is the spitting image of 'Little Miss Yappy' herself, left-handed salute and all...after all, don't forget....before 'Winterpeg', she did reside on the 'Left Coast'...... and for you 'Little Miss Yappy'

Well, I guess we'll have to teach her the right way to salute, now that she's closer to the right coast.

I've now fixed it to show the proper salute.

OK, Lil' Miss Yappy ... PRACTICE!

I wonder if the Queen's Own Cameron Highlanders of Canada have realized yet, that ... Lil' Miss Yappy has ARRIVED! I'm HEEEEEEEEEEERE ... I live in the bunker-igloo in the Red River Settlement area close to the buffalo herd ...but the Red River is actually yukky brown, so don't go lookin' for no Red one! Go lookin' for the brown one and the big brown hairy beasts who aren't MARK-OOOOOOO ... if that fails, stop and smell the coffee and follow the aroma wafting from the new coffee maker that BOB-M sent me by dogsled... you'll find me bunkered down in my igloo waiting to rub noses. Be of legal age plus 40, Bring yore Kilt. Bring yore Pipes, don't bring Mark-Oh-Oh Don't bring ice. Bring OFF. They haven't fogged the squiters yet.

I you!

OK, Missy Yappy. Pay attention for you may be asked questions.

You're standing on a map of Canada facing the North Pole:

"Left Coast" = Esquimalt, BC
"Right Coast" = Halifax, NS

This was Canadian navy talk, but now used by everyone.

Are there any questions?

Default left handed salute

To all about the left handed salute, I am aware that it is not normal but for me it is the only salute I have been able to give for the last 52 years. A left handed salute is allowed for soldiers who have been incapacitated and can not use their right hand. Actually I am pleased that someone has been able to turn that smilie arround it was beyond my capabilities.

Cheers

Art J.

You are absolutely correct, Art. In fact, I used it myself for a short period of time.

Although I should've mentioned it earlier, I did not want to confuse our young civvy lady with too much information.

Smile Salutes

Actually, this is really interesting. Until this thread I wasn't aware of the Left-Right thing regards proper saluting.

ART ... I should have known there would be a reason for the Lefty Salute from you. By the way ... are you in better shape regards your arm (since the surgery?) and please say hello to Catherine for me

Franki-O and Others-O

Left coast - Left Vote
Right Coast - RIGHT Vote.

Does this sound about right according to you conservative types? And by the way, my new bunker is half way between Left Coast to Right Coast. My attitudes slide ... in an Easterly direction. Am I going the Right way?

TIME ... will tell. Will I stay half-way or go all the way?

ART ...

EVERYONE ELSE

now... I've been at this catching up typing for more than a couple of hours and my hands swell and rebel... time for a and maybe even some sleep ... bye
