Default Post-war british M8

Hello all,

I found this cutting of an M8 in British service.
It's obviously postwar as it's been renumbered, but I've no idea what the badge on the turret is. The rhino on the badge could suggests a regiment with African connections. The formation sign is hidden by the towing shackle, but one can see it's a circle so if the african connection assumption is correct it might be the East African Command sign.
Can anybody more knowledgeable help please? The vehicle itself seems to be sand coloured and I for one have never seen a sand coloured British M8 before!

TIA
