Extremely recomended freight service
Ok folks as people are often asking about freight services, i can whole heartidly recomend Kingstown Shipping LTD based in Hull (United Kingdom)
I have managed to import my MK1 Carrier to the UK with minimal fuss, i had it collected from the sellers address in Fergus Ontario, haulage to Montreal then loaded onto the "Valentina" shipped to the UK (Southampton) and it shall be haulled to my door in Newcastle (some six hours+ drive from the port) the carrier arrives Thursday morning for me (cant wait) the firm have excelent comunications and explain everything to you at every stage of the process, they give you a full breakdown in quotation, of which they can taylor the service you require be it door to door or port to port etc etc) response times on questions was litterally ten minutes from my email being sent (obviously during office hours) i will give a breakdown of my bill to give others an idea of how reasonable they were. I paid £500 for the carrier itself so the tax etc will be reflected from this. Position 1 x 20` container at Elora CA, for seller to load and secure Universal carrier, export docs, terminals, port security & oceanfreight to UK port . £ 1550.00 Additional waiting time for re-securing .£ 125.00 UK terminals .£ 114.00 Line docs .£ 25.00 Government security fee .£ 10.50 Import customs clearance .£ 65.00 Container haulage to Newcastle .£ 915.00 Agency / arrangements .£ 95.00 TOTAL CHARGES EXCLUDING UK CUSTOMS TAXES £ 2829.50 customs tax was £72 ish so not too bad at all if i do say so myself. the website is www.kingstownshipping.co.uk Rich

I'm glad my recommendatiosn are getting though ...
Mark, Alan, or Steve at Kingstown will always do the necessary.
I bought a K-38 Signal Corps trailer in the middle of the USA at the end of March. Mark arranged to get it picked up and delivered to the east coast, stuck in a container. Steve did customs clearance at this end and local delivery for a total bill of around £1300 including all charges and duties. Might seem like a lot for moving a trailer, but for a 30 day door-to-door service with no hassle it was worth every penny. On a previous shipment when a shipper in the US backed out when a vehicle arrived at their loading point Kingstown found an alternative and got the job done. Regular customers are often treated to a cuppa and biscuit if they are passing Hull docks and they are quite happy to deal remotely by phone or e-mail as long as you settle up before the delivery this end.
