Question Warning Decal NSN

Can anyone complete this NSN 9905- in the picture. This is not my jeep the only close shot I have.

Default stickers

Bob at 31 Combat Engineer Regiment (The Elgins) has a stash of NOS stickers. Search the last couple of days for a great posting on the anniversary of the Kangaroos. That is him. He might have what you need.

For what it's worth, that sticker came after the RT524 Radios were installed circa 1979. Before then, we never worried about cold starting while the C42 (cough POS) was running.

You may not have worried about the C42s in your unit. but in ours we sure did. Old Ed Harrington would have to give us the speech if we didn't shut off the radios before starting or shutting off the master.

The C42s were the only thing we were issued.....if we didn't have that then we had to use the PRC26 which did not have the same range nor channel selection.

I have a stack of those decals at home, so if you don't get an answer in the next couple weeks shoot me a PM in July when I'm home on leave and I'll get the NSN for you. The jeeps usually had the long decal that went along the windshield frame though.

Basically it's the same as the decal above. They were in yellow and silver if I recall. The rectangular orange ones came out in the 80s I think. Once we have the full NSN, the date of adoption can be determined by the number, or by looking it up.

The NSN is 9905-21-840-2230.

I went out and copied it down from my veh.

Interesting. That NSN will be from the 1960s. Does anyone have the NSN from the long version of this decal which would have been on the windshield frame?

I suspect that it may be 9905-21-874-1426

I looked that NSN up, but it is the battery neg ground decal for the M113 carriers. The introduction date for this particular decal is 1977.

If anyone has the NSN for the long one, I can look it up and see if it is still relevant. NSN should be on the decal, likely in one of the bottom corners

The NSN on this decal is covered up by the Mirror, but either way, the one available in the "System" is now Silver/Red/Black and is designed for the interior of an A Veh:

As mentioned by Terry, this one above as well as the Square Red/Orange one from the original post are available from Rob T at the 31 CER Kit Shop.

which one would be correct for Iltis?
Where would it (they) be placed?
I have not noticed anything on my jeep that resembles the remains of a sitcker..
