Sydney Harbour Federation Trust, North Head Searchlight Event 2014
~ Invitation to register for Military Vehicle display ~
On Saturday 31st May 2014, the Sydney Harbour Federation Trust will once again hold a searchlight demonstration event commemorating the anniversary of the 1942 Japanese attack on Sydney Harbour.
Harbour Trust volunteers and their family &\or friends are invited to the event along with interested members of Military Vehicle Associations who would like to display their vehicles.
The event will be held at North Fort within the Harbour Trust’s North Head Sanctuary site as it was last year.
Event Schedule
- Military vehicles will be required to be in place by 2:30pm
- Guest arrival approx 3:30pm
- Tours of the site & restoration projects will be offered to all
- BBQ dinner ($5 per head for all visitors including volunteers) proceeds going to Bear Cottage (www.bearcottage.chw.edu.au)
- Searchlight demonstration by Harbour Trust volunteers
- Departure by approx 8:30pm
- Please note,
 Unfortunately overnight camping is no longer possible at this event. All guests & vehicles will need to leave at the conclusion of the event when the site will be closed. Apologies if this causes any inconvenience
 BYO beer & wine (& esky). Please note as the Harbour Trust is responsible for the safety of its guests we ask you to bring a reasonable amount of alcohol only & to drink responsibly (soft drinks provided).
Registration
Anyone interested in displaying a vehicle must register prior to the event for logistical purposes; set out; catering etc. We can accommodate 20 Military Vehicles and a maximum of 5 visitors per vehicle. Judging by last year’s event these numbers should work well.
To help cover costs, a $10 registration fee will be required per vehicle. Jan Thompson has kindly offered to coordinate this so please register with Jan (form below). Registrations will need to be confirmed by Wed 21st May.

We have received notification from the Harbour Trust that military vehicle people are now able to stay at the Searchlight Night. Fortunately there has been a change and the Director has agreed to camping on site.
