Default side armour

I came across this picture on the British Pathe site. What version was this without the rear side armour?

Default Carrier type....

Hi there

This would be a Carrier, Bren. The Carrier, Scout was similar but had the full height side armour on the right instead of the left.

Default Carrier type

It would be a "Bren Carrier No 2 Mk1" like this 1938 Thorneycroft built example.
