Default Need CCKW Crane ID

The following photo is of a CCKW truck mounted with a general purpose/recovery crane.
I can remember seeing either the same or similar set-up in old wartime photos. I have searched the net but cannot seem to find any 'in service' photographs of these vehicles.

Can someone help out with some military photos please.

This was not a military version - one that left the factory, that is. IŽd say it is a civilian conversion. But who knows who modified what in the field?

this is a restored one but I feel the GMC you have shown is a post war modification although I have shown a second photo of a GMC fitted with a Bantham light excavater and the rear mounted crane you show may have been converted from one of these.
