Default Continental R975

Dear friends
I need the length of the rear support for this Sherman engine.
I need also the length of the front support tube.
Any help ?
At the portuguese armoured museum we have 3 canadian built Shermans on a sorry state, and we want to make a engine bench for one of those engines, and begin the reconstrution of one of the tanks.
Thanking in advance
Joćo

Rear engine support 50.5 inches wide, flat to flat. Actualsupport sticks out about.25 inch either side. Do you want the length of the front tube or the width to the centre of the front mounts?

Sounds like you guys have too many Sherman tanks there, perhaps selling one to fund the restoration would be an idea...now if I could only think of someone who might be interested in a tatty old Sherman...Hmmmm

I have quite a collection of Sherman spares that I am thinning out, if you need parts let me know. Not much in the way of radial engine stuff but lots of running gear etc.

Regards
John
