Default ID needed please....

Hi all: Trusting y'all had a good New Year. Got an email today from an old childhood friend and neighbour. He was sorting through some stuff in the garage and came across his Father's back pack from the war. His father worked in the "motor pool" and my have tuned up the truck your driving!! Anyway, there are some numbers on the back and I was wondering if anyone could help identify them. The info will be passed on to the family. Many thanks as always.

Robert

Default Details

What you have is a 1908 Pattern Large Pack. B20340 was the Regimental Number allotted to the 46th Light AA Battery, RCA and M.D. 2 was Militia District 2. I am not sure what SCU 484 stood for. If you Google Canadian Militia Districts and 46th Light AA Battery RCA you will be able to find out more details about each.

Default Thanks Guys

Mr. Storey and Mr. Williams....a tip of the ol' "hat o' thanks". I'll do some further research with my buddy to see what we can come up with. The friend's father was born in the Niagara Pennisula and that's where he would have signed up (Welland). Both he and his 2 brothers were overseas during the war, so that's 3 from one family. And they all survived!
I'll keep you posted and thanks again....Robert

I posted the picture on a Facebook page I’m on. Mark Tonner says the CU484 is a Canada Draft Number for homeward bound troops.
