Default Maple Leaf Insignia-Italy 1944

Does anyone recall the color of the maple leaf in what colored squares for:
-1st Canadian Field Artillery Regiment
-Divisional Headquaters 1st Cdn Infantry Division

And what were the numerals and their color for each of the above

Thanks in advance

Garry

Garry;

Do you mean the Formation sign for vehicles of 1st Fd Regt, RCHA and for HQ 1st Cdn Inf Div, or do you mean the Arm of Service marking for the vehicles of the above mentioned.

Formation sign for both was a gold or yellow maple leaf centred on a red background (square)

Arm of Service marking:

1st Fd Regt, RCHA - the figures '42' in white centred on a red over blue background (square)

HQ 1st Cdn Inf Div - the figures '40' in white centred on a black background (square)

Hope this helps.

Cheers

Hi Garry;

I made it simple for you:

Top: - AoS and Fmn Sign for HQ 1st Cdn Inf Div
Bottom: - AoS and Fmn Sign for 1st Fd Regt, RCHA

Cheers

Default Tac signs

An interesting footnote taken from the Hamilton Spectator. The road signs were still in place in 1946, a bit faded but still there.
