Headed home yesterday with the Sexton from The Lincoln and Welland Regiment's and Parks Canada show at Fort George, Niagara-on-the-Lake. Had a great time. Once again a wide variety of vehicles (40ish) and equipment representing era's from the early(?) 1800's to the 90's. An awsome venue. The parade through town both days was fun as well. A big thank you to the organisers who kept everything running smoothly and did a fantastic job feeding everyone.

Yes, an excellent weekend event. Hats off to the organizers who gave up much of their time to ensure everyone was looked after. The unsung heroes behind the scenes: providing hundreds of meals for the participants.

The Sherman and Sexton ensured the Parks Canada grounds keeper job will not be made redundant!
How often do you get to see a Sherman driver who pre-dates the Sherman? Good work Stew R.

The heavies were transported +/- 1,600 kms combined round trips through the financial support of Parks Canada. Thank-you Peter M.

My thanks to those who contributed to setting up, provisioning and taking down the canvas at the Sherman/Sexton/T16/MB group:
Brian A., Alan B., Jordan B., Geoff B., Perry K., Gordon Y., (all MLU participants) as well as Craig S. of the Lincs and Winks for his kind support.
Sympathies to Bruce P., who suffered the disappointment of a third party transportation issue and missed the event.

Default Kudos!!!

Sounds like you guys pulled off a nice one. Kudos to you all!
Robert

PS: It's just too too bad you didn't have a guy in the tank turret moving the gun up and down. You would of had traffic backed up to TORONTO!!

A few pictures from this past weekend. My friend Matt and myself up in the turret of the Sherman. The look on Gord Yeo's face was priceless when he found out he was allowed to tow the 6pdr anti tank gun with the T-16 Carrier.

Some rumours were also flying around about an MLU'er who may or may not have been bitten by the jeep bug.

Any information on this years show(2018)? I know it is 7 months away, but it can't hurt to plan ahead.
