Post 1949 Jeep

Hey All

A friend of mine just bought a 1949 CJ-2A Jeep and he wants to restore it to it's original condition. He is looking for any manuals that might be available, I have found some Jeep manuals at militarytrucks.ca but nothing specific to his jeep.

Thanks
Gary

Try Midwest Jeep. They specialize in the post war civil jeeps and probably have the manuals.

Sounds like a late model CJ2A. as 1949 was the last year of production.

here is a good site. http://www.thecj2apage.com/

There are tons of suppliers

I bought a nice rebuild book on flat and round fender Jeeps from Advanced Adapters. They have several:

Hey Gary

Have you got a complete carrier running yet? I picked one up last year and am in dire need of armor. Do you have any spare pieces? I saw the pictures you had posted on the tank drills. Those are M4 high speed tractors. I missed out on one in Nakusp with some good bogey wheels. Rats! Is the guy willing to sell the Sherman tracked one?
