Default ford t16 chassis number tracing

Hi all my father and my self are rebuilding a ford t16 we are trying to research the W.D number that we have. We purchased a copy of the key card for the t16 from bovington tank museum with its t number but that only goes back to 1948. But i am trying to research it further back to 1944 and hopefully its div or unit we have its chassis number and a WD number which is 86 ZT 70 does this mean anything to any one, the wd number might be it 1948-1960 wd number is there any where i can research this. help please anyone

The key card should list its previous WD number in one of the columns. i.e. 'transferred from' T104498 or T96543 or similar.

Default chassis number

I have now found that avd (armoured vehicle depot)75 was a disused air field at turweston near brackley! but i am still trying to trace my t16's unit during 1944.

There is no guarantee it was issued to a unit. Many vehicles sat in store waiting to be called up.
Good luck with the search anyway, hope you are successful.
