Ford Transf Case Shift Lever
Hi Boys
May be an stupid question, but talking about CMP with High and Low (large) Transfer Case, can drive 4x2 in Low gear? Regards!

At least for Chevrolet, I am not aware of any versions that permitted 4x2 low range.

No, you engage the front axle then the low range. Low range is always 4 wheel drive.

I can think of very few vehicles that allow low range without four wheel drive. Otherwise, it is to easy to put excessive torque to the rear axle and cause damage.
Some 6 wheel drive vehicles are set up to allow low range without front drive engaged, but they at least have two axles engaged already. |
