Default Sonic Warfare

Don't know the source of these pictures, they were sent to me through the KTR mailing list.

They show trucks with large loud speakers on the roof.

This Dodge WC54 I found at http://www.flickr.com/photos/photosnormandie/374399032/. Posted it to the predominantly Dodge-Jeep-GMC KTR mailing list, this triggered a response from Peter Seliger delivering the two great pics above.

Default 'Surrender salesmen'

These are the famed 'surrender salesmen'.

There was an article in Wheels and Tracks from memory, and they were quite effective.

There was one crew who initially had a Bedford ambulance, but upgraded to a safer White Scout Car.

Not sure which issue number it was.

Keith,

W&T no.5

It was Austin K2 ambulances that were used, before the Whites and were called Amplifier Vans.

Default Salesman? Salesman?

Did I hear somebody calling my name? I'd better get a couple of these speakers for the ambulance or Phoenix so I can advertise my wares.

Salesman Bob

BTW, again brilliant images of other usage of vehicles.
