OMVA Executive Positions – Call for Nominations for President and Secretary / Members

The term of office for 2 of the 4 elected positions on the OMVA Executive – President (incumbent Les Fisher) and Secretary / Membership Coordinator (incumbent Barry Churcher) expires at the end of 2020.

This is the call for nominations for those two positions, for a 2 year term commencing in 2021 and expiring at the end of 2022.

All OMVA members in good standing may stand for any elected office. A member may hold only one office. Any member in good standing may nominate another member but must first obtain the nominee's agreement to serve.

Nominations should be emailed to me at omva.cmp@gmail.com and must be received by the closing date of Friday Nov. 20, 2020

If an election is necessary, voting shall be conducted by email, with completed ballots being returned by December 10. Election results will be posted by December 20.

To all OMVA members, this is a reminder that nominations for the elected positions of President and Secretary / Membership Coordinator on the OMVA Executive must be received by me via email at omva.cmp@gmail.com by the closing date of Friday Nov. 20, 2020. If you are submitting a nomination, please first obtain the member's agreement to serve, clearly indicate which position the nomination is for and copy in your nominee on the email nomination that you send to me.

To all OMVA Members. Nominations for the positions of President and Secretary / Membership Coordinator have now closed.

One person was nominated for each position:
Les Fisher for President, first nominated by Marcus Schneider.
Barry Churcher for Secretary / Membership Coordinator, first nominated by Marcus Schneider.

Les and Barry have confirmed they are willing to serve. As there was only one nominee for each position an election is not necessary and they are acclaimed in their positions, with their 2 year terms to expire at the end of 2022. Congratulations to Les and Barry and thanks to Marcus Schneider, Peter Simundson, Robin Craig and John Carmichael who also nominated or showed their support for these nominations.

President, Les Fisher, term expires end of 2022
Vice President, Terry Witiuk, term expires end of 2021
Treasurer, Brian Olivieri, term expires end of 2021
Secretary / Membership Coordinator, Barry Churcher, term expires end of 2022
