Default Help needed to I.D a radiator

Hi guys, I have a radiator, made by the Long Manufacturing company of Windsor Ontario. It has a Jan 1953 date on it, and has C8Q, and 8QB MO on it. It is for a V8 (2 inlets and 2 outlets) It is a big radiator, and might be a truck or bus item. It is a lot wider than a coventional (say a carrier) radiator.
Can anyone give some (constructive) advise as to what it fits.

Is this from a bonus or jailbar. it has to be Ford, and it shows a jan 1953 date.

Default ID Radiator

Hi Lynn,My Truck Chassis Parts Catalogue 1948-1951 (all models) lists your radiator.
50-51 Q,QH (model)-part No;C8Q-8005,sorry no other info though apart from Q,and QH being 4 and 5 ton vehicles.
I will let you know if anything else turns up as i will continue the search

Default Chewing the fat

I'm led to believe Ford did make a fairly large side valve V8 in the 50's (over 300 cubic inches). For their trucks and probably buses.

Perhaps it is a radiator intended for that motor Lynn???

Inthe 1947 to fifty one Ford made a 336 for their large trucks and the lincoln cars flat head but the rads where about the same cooling capacity
When the overhead valves cam out is when they changed rad sizes.fORD ALSO MADE A fORD GAA flat head for tanks in the forties Now that rad was a monster

Hi again,that radiator looks very much like a 1942 one but larger,more than likely simular to a bren gun carrier,only a lot larger,just a thought Lynn.
