Default Webbing Identification

Spotted at a local shop. What was it used for?

I've seen similar, and although it is hard to work out the scale from the image, it looks like it might be a type of emergency/battlefield stretcher.

The wounded is strapped into it (shoulders at the wide part) and then carried off by a bearer at each end. Makes handling the patient safer and easier, but not designed for comfort. The Aust version I had was made from canvas and webbing.
