The price of a CMP
This is a subject of some interest to me and looking at the archives of the old Melbourne Argus newspaper I found this image
Original copy: Pupils of Victorian State Schools contributed 1150 pound out of their own pocket money to purchase this truck for a R.A.A.F. Mobile Educational Unit. [picture] Date(s) of creation: [ca. 1945] photograph : gelatin silver ; 17.0 x 22.0 cm. approx. Reproduction rights: State Library of Victoria. Accession Number: H99.201/2219 Image Number: an002880 The question is was 1150 pounds the whole value or an approximate amount? It's on the Victoria archives

"This is a subject of some interest to me"
Keith, does that mean you were one of the schoolboys and are therefore one of the youngest CMP owners on record? Any chance the RAAF will give you back your truck?
