Default Another Aussie Carrier

Another Aussie Bren carrier has surfaced and is under restoration.
Owen Mills of Stratford, Victoria, now owns LP2 hull number 1851. The data plate also says "Ford NSW" if anyone can shed light on it. It has an early helmet style dizzie and alloy heads, which may mean that it is not the original engine.
It has been cut and he is looking for the engine air scoop, if any one can help. otherwise he is going to make a copy.

Hi Eric
Details I hold on #1851 are that it was a post 01/01/42 manufacture under Order No. MON.62 and manufactured by Ford, probably at their Homebush factory. The exact date should be stamped on the nomenclature plate or on the rear ledge above the diff. Can you forward the date if available. Details from the various manuals state that it had a 1938 rear axle with 5.83to1 diff ratio. Speedo non-interchangeable 18 tooth driven gear & 3 tooth driving gear.
