Default centurian tanks and variants

Did a search on this tank and was surprised to find no dedicated thread on this vehicle, considering its universal appeal prehaps its time to start one. Now as some of you will be aware armour is not one of my strong points,OK ican identify the many types with no problem but defining all the marks and various mods is for me best left to others so i have included a batch of Cents which i am sure will bring comments to the thread. I have a fair number of photos on the tank but am sure there must be a lot more lurking out there

Not sure where this is, could be Aden but they normally had bold black camo or could be in Egypt. May be an ex service member can recognise the building in the background

Default Centurions...

Ref this Cent thread...I would be most interested in acquiring details of all the T-series numbers assigned to the earlier variants before all numbers changed to the VRN system..

Many thanks

Roddy

Is the one outside the gate at Meaford still there? I haven't been there in ages...

Default Oshawa

...and what's the status of the two at Oshawa? Last I saw it was, I think, summer of '05, and they had it basically stripped out. At least, I'd been in it in that state several years previously.

Les
Les, It's been a few years (1998) since I was last at CFB Borden but I'm sure there was a Centurian ARV parked outside of CFSEME. Any ReeMee types out there remember seeing or have pictures of the ARV outside the school? Whatever the ARV was, I took some pictures of it and I'll try to sift through my thousands of prints to find it.

Below (hopefully) is the ARV crewed by 1Armd Regt LAD in Vietnam in 1969. I've seen them change a motor/gearbox in the field in just over a day.

Default Centurion

Gents:

Here are some photos of Centurions at CFB Borden, Meaford and Pettawawa. I have some photos of the Centurion ARV at Borden but I can't seem to upload them onto Photobucket at present. The pictures I have of the ARV are at Worthington Park at Borden.

... and don't forget the Swiss Centurions. They were the backbone of your tank platoons for nearly 30 odd years.

Picture is taken 1 month ago at a Swiss Army Parade in Thun. More pics at wheelsandtracks.com

Yup, that was her in 2003 and here she is after we re-painted her in 2005 as a Fort Garry Horse vehicle.

Default Swiss Centurions

... I visited yesterday the 2nd Military Vehicle Meeting in Full-Reuenthal, Switzerland.

They took out a lot of tanks like this Centurion and drove around in the mud. I also took a small video
