Default Bren LMG mount

I´m searching for more information and pictures of Bren LMG mounts that were mounted in vehicles. Does anyone have more information?
I already have two pictures. One of them is a Morris Light Utility truck.

Are you looking for information on the Motley (sp?) mounts specifically, or all Bren LMG mounts?

Here is another photo of the Motley mount. There are a number of variants to this rig and they were in production for several years, especially at the beginning of the war. Motleys were used on motorcycles as well as on trucks. The Armoured Train, on Canada's West coast, employed these to mount Brens in an AA role, on top of the carriages. The lack of sufficient AA guns forced the use of Brens, which in turn led to the popularity of the Motley mount. This also led to the development of the 100-round magazine.
Let me know if you want additional photos.

Default Aussie bren mount

I an interested in knowing exactly how the weapon was held in the 'pole mount' on Aussie softskins. This is the mount that came up the side of the cab and bent over at the top like on the second Dodge in.

Cheers
Cliff

Default Motley manual

This is one of Arjan's Motley manuals. It took a lot of work to get the pix fixed up to post. I made it into a pdf file for myself but at the lowest resolution possible it's over a 3 mb file so I'll post the jpg images.

Bill,

A Bedford MW, this actual truck is one belonging to one of our club members, it is usually at Beltring, where the photo was taken.

Arjan sent me some pix of Motley stuff and I haven't seen this one before. It's obviously one of the earliest versions judging by the design and it's dated 02/12/40. I cleaned the images up a bit and resized them to post here. I like the wooden seat. This would be a simple one to reproduce. It would also likely be the right one for my 1940 C15 as an AAAT truck. Then I'd just need a Bren and a Boyes.

Here's a pic of a well camoflaged Motley mount in the back of a CMP. No idea where or when picture was taken. Derek.

Well, I bought the Motley seat off ebay. Now I'll just have to fabricate the Bren mount. I'll go with this one for a single Bren like in the above picture of the one in the 11 Cab. I came across this bit of info on the arrangement of British outfits in 1940. This would be the 15 cwt AAAT trucks. (anti aircraft anti tank) This is the first mention I've found of how many guns they carried and is the same as what I'd assumed. These drawings are dated 1942 and they're converting to the 2 gun MK IV A setup. The one on the sidecar is the most detailed pic I've found of the MK IV. It looks like the single gun MK IV would be right for any late 1940 to 1942 AAAT. I wonder what they used for seating and storage on these trucks.

Anti-aircraft Platoon - the AA Platoon was commanded by a Platoon Sergeant Major, and included four trucks, each fitted with a single Bren gun on a 'Motley' mounting and carrying a Boys anti-tank rifle.
