Not a very intense explosion / burn when the plug fires the mixture and note how the flame burns around the inlet valve seat. I am not sure this is filmed within and engine, more of a mock up as the mixture is probably not compressed. Be interesting to hear other views.

I would expect a more intense burn too and seem to recall seeing footage showing this. Nevertheless an interesting shoot showing some of the workings of an internal combustion engine. Hanno

If it is a working motor it is a sick one considering it is burning back to the inlet valve . They would be getting a few blow backs into the carby

I Doubt very much that there would be any Colour to the combustion, let alone a yellow flame. The valve timing seems wrong. The exhaust valve opens late, and there appears to be no scavenging from the exhaust. ....It must be a mock up.
