Default AM-2060A For PRC-77

Does anyone know if these Audio Amplifier/Power Supply units are available anywhere in Canada? There are quite a few to be found south of the border for $125 to $400 USF, but cannot be shipped out of the USA.

David

PS: 26 June 2008 I found one, gentlemen. Thanks.

Seems a number of US Military Communications Sets have been turning up in hostile Iraqi vehicles, so the US Government recently made these non exportable items.

not doubting you but i doubt that, i was there and didnt see any 24vlt systems in any other vehicles there, also you cant use the old systems to get into the new radios net. will not f hop. when there they were useing normal civilian radios. but the US government is getting silly here. i live near the largest military post in the free world. they have a policy here that EVERYTHING is shreaded. uniforms, nets, radios, parts, sleeping bags..... everything.

A check on the US DOD disposal site shows that even the 3/4 ton trailers are now controlled, will need an end users cert, and can't be exported. Same for the hundreds of M-16 bayonets being sold off.

Things are getting so crazy that we now require import certificates from Canada to get an export permit from the US for something as simple as the screws which hold a telescope to a rifle.

annnnnnnd it takes up to 45 days to get a cert, i know someone who got a M-35 waited 30 days for his cert and when he went to get the truck it had been stripped clean (canvas, batts, lights, etc).

Doesn't this all relate back to ITAR?

Seems like some sellers have taken the ITAR rules to way out extremes.

For example, I recently contacted a seller in order to buy a 1/4 mile drum of WD-1/TT cable and the Machine, Reeling apparatus.

The seller agreed to sell and ship the cable drum, but refused to ship ex USA, a "Machine, Reeling".

Go figure.

the US DOD is scaird to sell anything that may show up on 60 min or a BBC program. there was a program about M-16s going to iran that caused a big invistigation...... they are made in china. so now its SHREAD everything.

I wonder how long it's going to take before all this starts to run the prices up for US military surplus that can be purchased outside of the United States? Has anyone noticed if prices are starting to climb yet?
