I wonder what you'd be getting. The two pictures are of different sets. The first is a Mk.III set, the second is a Mk.II with a Canadian amplifier and power unit on top. One is pretty common and the other not so much. Maybe you get them both?

Same guy that's got the amplified set on kijji. I think he was asking $5000 for it and it was discussed at length on the forum. I've talked to the guy a couple times at the Etobicoke Militaria show. The sets have been modified by him to be a bit more user freindly when powering them up.

Are the cyrillic labels common, or are would those be something added post war when they were given/sold on to another country?

The Cyrillic is original. My understanding was that when re-furbished in the 60s, the sets were re-marked in English only.

Our own Johnny Canuck has a similar HP set on ebay for a little under 13K Cdn. Hard to believe this stuff commands those kinds of prices, but what do I know.

Listed on KIJIJI is a nice and working set (My set) listed for sale. The HP set is not listed but could be had for a decent offer and Geoff I don't want to undercut your all original set, ours has made up cables and a some other stuff.
main radio parts are orig. cables not. 5,000.00 will take it home, and will show you how it works crash course.

The sets are not modified WS19 and WS19HP. The Variometer Relay, cabling and the extra power supply are the only mods.
