Default Dutch Border Raid

Brian Gough and I are going to The Netherlands to visit Dirk and Stefan. Are any other MLU guys going to the KTR show in Gorinchem? Hopefully we can see some of you there.
Cheers,
Barry

What ho! High ranking MLU officials from Canada visiting Holland. I guess we well have to do some reenactment in Amsterdam with the Canadian Army Leave Centre Official Guide in hand

Anyway, I will arrange for the MLU guard of honour to send you off on Monday.

Hanno

After they spent a few days with the Leegwater family and visiting the annual Keep Them Rolling trade fair, I met up with Barry and Brian yesterday. We paid a visit to Jakob to see (drool over) some of his CMPs. Mr. Hupmeister was able to study an early HUP and Mr. Armoured Truck was able to look at some of the details missing from his C15TA.

The day ended with a nice dinner and a surpirise visit by Alex.

A good time was had by all and we promised we must not let lapse another decade(!) until we see each other in person again. So the Market-Garden commemorations in 2019 are pencilled in the agenda.

The attached pic shows Jakob, Brian & Barry in front of the remains of a Cab 11/12 FGT. It was contemplated shortly to include this in their Dutch Border Raid pickings, but those Gun Tractors are just too heavy to take on board as excess luggage. Maybe another time, eh?

Barry, Brian,

It was great meeting you in person! I hope you have had a great time here in Holland. See you in 2019 ;-)

Alex
