Need some information and pictures of No. 19 radio gear
I am in need of some information on the length and diameter of the antenna tuning device, looks like a coffee can with a knob.
I would also be greatful for a straight on shot of the intercom box that the headsets plug into. I am mainly trying to find out what switches and labels are on there. I would also like to have width and depth measurements of this box if possible so I can make a scaled down version of it. As always that you for your help... |

It's called a variometer
Used to match the wireless signal to the aerial. It's 4-3/4" diameter by 8" long (less the dial).

Richard these wireless sets are usually disabled from transmitting as it's illegal to transmit without the appropriate license.( in this case a ham radio operators license). Receiving is OK as it's just like any domestic radio. Having said that.. The set in my carrier is a fully working trans/receiver. But as I haven't got a license... I wouldn't dream of switching it on. Ron
