Default Chev rag roof truck

I am looking for information about a Chev truck I wish to identify.
It looks like a 40's Chev Lend Lease from the front, long wheelbase, a "1938 dash", metal frame roof that rolls back behind the bucket seats, fold down flat windscreen and a wooden rear section of the cab.

There is a wooden tray on the back but farmers with axes have altered the look some what. The sides are long gone.

It looks like a desert type vehicle but has a longer wheel base than photos I can find. Both trucks are identical in length and both have been owned from the late 1940's so what model is this?

Default Fire brigade

A club member had a LL Chev something like your description..it was a ex bush fire brigade truck..it was purchased new by the brigade in 1943 . Open cab , the cab was probably custom made , but GMH could have done it as they did a lot of 'specials' for various organisations .. It was in service until the early 1980's believe it or not..it came from the Strathbogie ranges behind Benalla .. the original wartime plates were still current , with a D prefix letter . The truck had done very few miles and the motor sounded like a swiss watch .. barely worn in. It was sold by tender and it would have to be the most original LL chevy I've ever seen .

this is what many bush fire brigades used

Photos would help more then a written discription for a positive ID.
