Default Fuel tank protection plates: orginal or not?

Hello, My CMP did earlier have had acording to its civilian papers a tipper cargo bed that at some time was removed before I got it. The owner before me got hold of a original cargo bed and spare tire holder.

I have these fuel tank protection plates which i thought was a post ww2 civilian modification as for the tipper. But the more I study them they seem factory made. They look very professional made and most of the post war modifications I have seen seems more homemade.

The pattern on the plates is also identical to the pattern on the steps on the cab and floor in the cargo bed.

It is also a cut out in the frame for bolts attaching something to the frame, just like the original cargo beds were attached with two long bolts and a plate in each end, and wood in between the frame profile.

I have searched the web for pictures showing something simular, but I have had no luck so far.

Any thougths?

Svenn

It looks like the protective plating off the CMP water trucks.
