Default W&P Update.

I'm sure lots of you have heard the rumours of the new W&P venue. Here is an email I just received from Rex. Ron

Quote:
Hi Ron
Yes, the rumours are true. After 25 years at the Hop Farm it has been decided to call it a day as The War and Peace Show after 30 years. As I am sure you can imagine, not an easy or welcome decision. The new show, the War and Peace Revival will breathe new life into this event. I am sorry we could not let people know sooner.
All best wishes,

Rex and Team

I notice that it is advertised as "A New Show, A New Venue". I hope a RAF base will have the same appeal as the Hop Farm. The first year will be interesting just sorting out your own pitchs.

I wish the organizers every success after 30 years of The Greatest Show on Earth. (We only attended the 2009 show, (thanks Richard F.) and I am glad that we did.)

Regards Rick.

Hi Rick,

Glad you enjoyed your visit there in 2009. The mention of RAF, it was only a small base, used for a short period during the war, Air Cooperation with Austers I think. It is a horse racecourse now, somewhat similar to Corowa only bigger. I am keen to see how it goes, only 8 miles from home too! Think it was time for a change, having been going to Beltring since the first one in 1987.

regards, Richard
