Default Cab 11/12 engine parts

I am looking for the following components for a 216 Chevrolet motor:

1. Valve cover for the Cab 11 / Cab 12, which has the extended oil filler tube at the front of the engine (part no. 1798889).
2. Extended oil filler tube for the above (also part no. 1798889).
3. Crankcase ventilator assembly (part no. 1798912) and clamp (part no. 1799042 or 5803826).

All as per attached photos.

I can offer cash, or have a selection of Cab 11 and Cab 12 cab parts for trade.

Many thanks,
Owen.

Hi Owen

I the photo on the right looks like my Pattern 12 C60L , if so the oil filler pipe is probably a replacement, but I believe is correct.

As to the lower breather tube assembly I have fabricated these from period Chevy truck parts.

Keep us posted on your progress.

Cheers Phil

You are correct, Phil. Many thanks for your most helpful website!

I just noticed the oil filler cap in your photos looks similar to a CMP fuel tank cap. Can you confirm if the pipe outlet is the same diameter as the fuel one (approx. 2.59" OD)?

Thanks,
Owen.

Hi Owen

Sorry for the delay getting back to you. Attached are two photos that I think will help.

The first shows the oil filler neck on my Pattern 12 C60L engine is now sitting on engine test stand as it has been replaced with a 235, I've kept the engine complete with oil in the cylinders.

Overall length of tube (no cap) 8 1/2"

Filler end standard CMP gas cap 2 5/8 OD
Engine end 1 3/4 OD

The next photo shows a bunch of Ford gas filler necks for the 48-52 F series trucks with the gas tank behind the drivers seat in the cab.

Overall length of tube 15"
Filler end standard CMP gas cap 2 5/8 OD
Engine end 2 1/4 OD

Hope this helps

Cheers Phil

MLU forum member Pete Ashby has kindly helped me out with valve cover and crankcase ventilator assembly, plus a few other items I needed.

Owen.
