Howard how is your F15 ready yet

looks like the cab11 is going to make it, not sure how good the engine is but she does run, drove it for about 100 yds.
It will be up to Ashly and Robert to tidy her up a bit on Thursday, John should get it there Wednesday night

I didn't get to Corowa, but am interested in how this unique vehicle performed. Any possibility of a quick report? What sort of speeds did it get up to? Did it take part in any vehicle run? Was it taken offroad, and if so how was its performance? What was the crowd's reaction? I've seen a photo of it on the back of a truck, are there any more (some video would be great too!)
Inquiring minds want to know

Steve.

I filmed it running around the paddock at the airport and also running up over the mound several times.
The engine appeared to have a bit of a miss and splutter and the tracks were very loose, as well as having no weight on the back so it was running under less than ideal conditions.

Having said that it was spectacular to see it in action. Bob can of course give the driver's perspective but on the video it appears to steer quite well although it seems to take a lot of effort to get it underway. It needed to rush the hill to get over because of lack of traction.

As to the video I shot it will of course be in the next DVD along with a chat with the owner.

Default Bated Breath

Hi all - I am waiting with the above to see it in motion. Lack of weight over the tracks caused slippage and the slow start was due to having no second gear therefore starting off in third. Once going though the driving and steering with 2WD was OK. Lots of noise and vibrations with motor needing a major tune up. But it worked. I will now, at a slower pace, be able to finish it off, tighten the tracks, that were tight to start with, and get it to an acceptable condition.

Bob

Hi Rich, I've seen various photos of it in a sorry state, at least it now seems to have a new(er) coat of paint.

It is not listed on the museum's website, though: https://www.military-vehicle-museum.org.au/vehicles/
