Default Bofors Mk7

Doing a clean up of a Bofor on a Mk7 mounting.
Having spent years outside, and quite a few at sea, the condition was rather poor.

Platform is aluminium with steel bolts plus loads of brass parts making it a perfect example of what not to do with a gun at sea.

I have stripped it, made repairs and now putting it back together.
Paint colour is 1980's Australian Navy.

Default Bofor

Finished the gun today, boys picked it up and took it to its new home in a private museum.
Once in position I fitted the barrel to complete the job.
