Default F15a exhaust pipe

just wondering if anyone has used the exhaust pipes available from Macs or would they even fit? They look like a cheap setup if they would work on a CMP.I think getting the exhaust made at an exhaust shop would be a lot more costly. Any thoughts?

Default F15-A Exhaust pipe

Hi Dave,

I don't have any experience with Mac's Exhaust pipes but I had a look at their catalogue online.

One thing is they all seem to be for vehicles with the exhaust system on the right side as opposed to the left side as is on a CMP Truck. May not be an issue except for appearance.

The original pipe as shown has a substantial drop just past the engine to allow the muffler to clear the chassis as shown in the picture of an original pipe. I don't see anything similar in the catalogue but you could have that section fabricated then welded on to the front section of the exhaust pipe. I did that with mine where the rear section was rotted but the front was solid. Might work out cheaper than a custom system from manifold to muffler.

The crossover pipe takes a few turns around the oil sump to get to the right manifold. Nothing looks close in the catalogue.

No doubt others will have something to add.

Cheers,
