Default For Sale: 216 & 235 engines

Third and final chapter in fall cleanup -two engines suitable for your CMP!
First is an original 216 it has all accesories, a good oil bath filter (not shown) correct original carb and the valves have been reseated. It probably needs a new head gasket to run -but I offer it as a suitable rebuild candidate for $250.

Second is a 1959 235 out of a pickup- it is complete but has a 3 speed trany but is stuck due to rust in the bores (didn't get oiled properly) a good candidate for a rebuild for only $200 or offer

Default Post 55 235s need mod kit to fit CMPs

Be careful onthe 235.... I fited a 1954 235 with the better oil pressure system in my C-15A after having the No1 piston crash out the side of the block on my original 216.

The 1954 and 55 blocks are basically the same as the 216. The later ones moved the water pump higher. They will not fit in the bonnet,

They make adapter plates because a lot of Chevy street rod trucks have the same issue as the cMPs.

The later ones will work, but will need a mod kit.
