Default 2C1 Box differences

I have 2 2C1 boxes for my 1943 f15a and I was wondering which would be more appropriate for my truck.

The first one is welded with bolts holding the side panels to the end. This box has a diamond tread floor.

The second one is mainly welded but it appears that the fenders were bolted in. This box has a flat sheet rear floor with the strengthening strips.

I'm hoping to send one to the sanfblasted soon and would like to start with the most appropriate for my truck.

Thanks!

I believe the bolted one is one of the knock down versions. I think it would be a 2J1 box?

Default Which one...... the better one!

Hi Jason

Either box could be mounted on the F15a....... but my preference would be for the one that still has the rear fender box in place........ much easier to restore without having to cut out panels to rebuild the inside fenders.

Good luck.
