Default FWD more info needed

Hi I know I have tried before.

But can anyone help me with some pitures of a FWD in the same cofiguration as the on in this picture.

The picture is from the Danish Airforce historical collection.
The same FWD type was used to tow german 88 mm AA-guns in 1949-50 and I would like to make a model of that.

While I cannot help you with the info you require could it be a special body built on the FWD chassis by the Danes themselves so information on it is more likely to be found in other Danish museums/data banks.

Tend to agree with Cliff on this one, what is most interesting is the mention of towing 88mm AA guns were these the German WW2 guns

Default FWD info

Hi Cliff and Les

You may be right that this is a Danish army special. I just did not think the army made thins like that so early in the postwar period.

And Les yes it was the German 88. The Danish army operated a battery which we received from Norway in 1949. They where replaced by US 90mm AA-guns in 1951. On of the German guns is on museum in Copenhagen. The rest - well I guess they all ended their lieves on a shooting range like the on in the link.

Hi Brian

interesting albums, pity the 88s were shot to oblivion they would be well sort after these days. A question do you have any photos of the Diamond T that were issued to the Danish army in the late 1940s and any other shots of FWDs, some were in service with the original steel body
cheers
Les
