Hawker / Armasafe Battery problem
Dear All,
I am working on a vehicle with very restricted space limitations and pre existing wiring. I need to replace two Hawker type batteries such as these and loath to shell out the $425 + tx per battery. They are an AGM battery and seem to be spent. I have no scope on the battery wires so if I use anything else with a different terminal layout I have big problems. Any thoughts anyone? Thanks Robin |

Are you certain the batteries are toast? Apparently the military (both US and Cdn) were condemning the hawkers left and right, to the point the batteries were getting bad reputation. The company actually sent out reps into Afghanistan and to bases detailing the charging requirements. Many units grabbed back all their condemned batteries from disposal and saved about 80% of them. Lots of information on the net about this subject.

Dear Rob,
yes I am aware about this and we are investigating if they will relife but all indications thus far say they are toast, especially considering the YOM they have had a good life R |
