Default Help to ID Austin truck

Hi,
I had a look at this Austin truck and the owner believes it was a WW2 Australian army vehicle before it was 'done up' for a movie. Can anyone suggest what year it may be?? It had one plate on it which read VB K2 104670.

Default Austin truck

This looks as though it could be an Austin K3. See photo on the site below:-

Default Post war ?

It's more likely to be a post WW2 civilian farm truck from new , they were sold here up to around 1948-49 , but not in great numbers . You don't see many around these days , the ubiquitous Bedford 'O' series was far more popular here for some reason . You will see ten Bedfords for each Austin you find .

Hi Darren

Your Austin is a model K2 2 tonner and is basically a civilian model, i own a 1948 civilian truck identical to the photo less the military adaptions. Lokking at the photo i would guess it is around the same year
cheers
Les
