That child,is meant to be an archetypal representation of man's most astounding creative gifts to the world ... the power to beget another human being ... see the child laugh with innocent delight?

Fathers ... can't exist without 'em ,
can't co-exist with 'em

Default Arms?

Lithgow is of course home to the Small Arms Factory.

I never understood why there was demand for a factory to produce miniature limbs. Since the Thalidomide scandal caused this phenomenon to occur more frequently without the assistance of the Factory's production lines, the activities at the factory have wound down considerably since it's heyday during the war years, so much so that many buidings at the factory are now being pulled down.

I hope that they can overcome the terrible effects of Thalidomide so that the Small Arms Factory can again gear up for massive production runs of two shifts per day, six days a week because I hear that is great demand amongst collectors of the quality products from Lithgow SAF

(BTW Carmen, Father's Day is not until September in Australia. Must have something to do with Springtime breeding in the Northern and Southern hemispheres (Or Small Arms only being able to reach the bottom of the calendar on the wall!))
