Hi,

My great uncle was killed Oct. 3, 1944 and is buried in the Schoonselhof Cemetery near Antwerp, Belgium.
He was with the Royal Hamilton Light Infantry.
I would like to obtain a picture of his grave. So if there is anybody that lives near Antwerp or travelling there, it would be greatly appreciated. The grave reference is I.E.31 and his service number is B/38420

Cheers,
Greg Wright

Hi Greg,

I just did a search for your Great Uncle's online memorial in case someone had uploaded a photograph of his headstone etc ... and sadly, none there. I've noticed that someone has uploaded inmages to many of the soldiers photos areas of their headstones and Commemorations pages, and that's why I checeked for you

There is a group that is doing this and I can't recall their name or link right now, but they have people take photos of all the graves and may well have a pghotograph of your Great Uncle's ... it's worth checking them out for that. I'll search to try find them for you. (Maybe someone in here knows the name and/or link?)

I remembered ... it's called the Maple Leaf Legacy Project!

I entered your Great Uncle's name and this is what came up. I wonder if you contact them if they have a photograph of the grave for you? They will send you a copy, I'm sure, if they do They sent me one of my Uncle's grave, long ago.
