Default Ford Logo

Guys,

I'm looking for the Ford oval that is mounted on the rear of the Ford Lynx. The mounting rivets are 4 1/2 " apart.

Thanks, Peter

I noticed that on Peter's photos as well. Could it just be a mk1 thing? Does yours have the holes on your hull?

I'll have to check the Shilo Lynx for signs of this plate.

As far asw I know, all these plates were used on civilian vehicles prior to the war, rather than specially made for the Ford CMPs. Does the lynx part manual give a part number? If so, likely the oval can be had from Mac's or Dennis carpenter.

I think I remember seeing these offered by LWD Parts at some point in the past.

Edit. Found it on the board in the yellow circle.

I’m wondering would this badge be the same as the one on the Ford Cab13 rad grills?

Default Ford Logos

Rob,

Here is a picture of the rivets on my radiator armour. It wasn't until I saw Peter Simundson's pictures that I realized what there. Strangely the front view doesn't show the Ford logo on the front bin which I have encountered on many period pictures. It is the same as the one for the carriers. Here is a picture of mine which will be going on my front bin.

Jordan,

Is that picture that you posted from the LWD site ?

Peter

Yes. The picture is used as a title picture for their miscellaneous section. Might be worth sending them a msg.

Guys,
Good news. I exchanged emails with Stefan from LWD parts and they have some reproductions in stock. He has added them to his catalog. Mine is on the way, thanks to Jordan’s great eyesight.
