Note that this is an Aust 44 pattern cab with demountable doors.

Yes, it was rather. GMH Aust manufactured Chev cabs only. GMH were quite resourceful and innovative in their re-design of the Cab 13 for local manufacture.

Is this shrinking done on the corner panel ? Looks like heat spots , Could be spot welds I guess

If you are in Darwin the Blitz in the Aircraft Museum at the airport has this setup.
