So it took you 30 years to do the first Carrier....so in about 25 years time you might be ready for the next 6? , I will put some aside for the year 2044? Cheers Andrew.

Andrew, I was hoping to shorten the time down just a bit. You know, when you've set your self a time, then you want to beat it.
Maybe to save you the trouble of all that storage, I could pick them up early?

David, I dont know. It looks like brake lining material and
I have seen them with "Ferodo" (brake lining manufacturer) on them. They probably contain a percentage of asbestos. I don't know but someone else may have more info.

Big, big fines and seizure of the items. https://www.news.com.au/technology/i...7f6e3193ea62b1 https://www.racq.com.au/Living/Artic...bestos-warning Customs have been just as vigilant with parts imports, either by mail or container. There is anecdotal stories of an importer of a 1966 Ford Mustang worth AU$25,000 who was unable/unwilling to pay an additional AU$20,000 to have the car declared "Clean" and the vehicle was seized and destroyed. Besides being out of pocket for the cost of the car, on top of that he was also hit with a $5000 fine. Still, some measly suspension cups, would they bother?

Tony, Isnt Australia the "home" of asbestos?
I have worked at gold mines in W.A. where we had to wear masks and wash vehicles every time before leaving the site. It has been exported to N.Z. in all kind of building materials.- James Hardie rings a bell......

Yup, just like Uranium. Happy to dig it up and sell it overseas, can't use it here.
James Hardie is a Dutch company now, fled offshore due to mounting asbestosis liability costs.
