Default Chevrolet Reproduction Gauge Faces

Here is the Chevrolet series. I originally had the glass face as a vinyl sticker only but it was quite difficult to put it onto glass due to its size. My manufacture had all the facilities so you get a full glass face with the sticker already attached. This is also available in perspex at the same price which is $AUD34 plus postage. With this set I haven't bothered with the gauges as they are very simple and more easily restored by hand painting. However if the demand is there I willl reproduce them.

Default Well Done!

Bob ,

They look excellent . I hope you take a few to Corowa to flog to the assembled masses .

I recently came across a guy at a swap meet selling heaps of the Chev instrument toggle switches , they were British made but identical to the WW2 Chev CMP type with a knob on the end of the lever .

I think the Ford switches were different ?

Default Gauges and Switches

Thanks Mike

Getting the artwork and final product has been a bit of an ordeal but hopefully worthwile. Its always these small restoration areas that cause the most problems and don't allow you to finish up with the best result.

Re. the guy at the swap meet with the switches, I'm always interested in procuring switches, gauges, switch plates etc. in any condition and the cheaper the better so I can rebuild full instrument clusters. Leads to these guys would be appreciated.

Default Hot Off The Press - Chev Gauges

Hi all

For the sake of completeness I have now produced the gauges as well. As we speak the first run is on the press. I'm also currently restoring the Chev panels and hope to have some ready soon. I even have a few with working temperature gauges/senders.

Bob
