Flowerpots
I know, you had to read that title twice, didn't you?
In the post-war years in Australia, a lot of war materiel was sold as surplus or scrap, and could be seen in the most unlikely of places, for the most unlikely of purposes, well into the 70's and 80's. While most Ordnance was destroyed, inert components were frequently sold as mild steel scrap and re-used. A common sight was the re-use of Bomb Tailfins as planter stands or even as flowerpots. I want to know if anyone in Australia, preferably in NSW, has any Bomb Tailfins for sale that I could purchase. If you're not looking to sell, I would be happy for this marketplace thread to be contaminated with photos of tailfins you have but don't want to sell, or examples you have seen elsewhere.

Not a flowerpot Tony but along a similar thread.
This is Big Bertha, a Diamond T 980 turned into the original Road Train in Australia. It now resides at the Transport Hall Of Fame in Alice Springs. The exhaust muffler is made from a WW2 Bomb casing.
